This was sent to me by a friend and it touched me so that I had to share it with the rest of my family.
Adore you all,
Cherie
You Are So Blessed.
This one is really neat and nice too. Hope you like it....if you don't
have speakers, send it to a computer that does.....
Hope you like this. It's so pretty and the music (turn your speakers on)
is very peaceful. Enjoy!

If you woke up this morning
with more health than illness,
you are more blessed than the
million who won't survive the week.
If you have never experienced
the danger of battle,
the loneliness of imprisonment,
the agony of torture or
the pangs of starvation,
you are ahead of 20 million people
around the world.
If you attend a church meeting
without fear of harassment,
arrest, torture, or death,
you are more blessed than almost
three billion people in the world.
If you have food in your refrigerator,
clothes on your back, a roof over
your head and a place to sleep,
you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank,
in your wallet, and spare change
in a dish someplace, you are among
the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
If your parents are still married and alive,
you are very rare,
especially in the United States.
If you hold up your head with a smile
on your face and are truly thankful,
you are blessed because the majority can,
but most do not.
If you can hold someone's hand, hug them
or even touch them on the shoulder,
you are blessed because you can
offer God's healing touch.
If you can read this message,
you are more blessed than over
two billion people in the world
that cannot read anything at all.
You are so blessed in ways
you may never even know.

This is the season most people give thanks for what they have, But we should start every day with a prayer upon our lips as we give thanks for all the blessings we have. I know that situations arise that seem hopeless or a time when it seems that the darkness is going to devour us. For every door that gets slammed in our face, God will silently open another. I lived for most of my life struggling in the darkness of drugs and greed and caught up in the sin of lust and denial . It has only been a few years that I have been able to see and walk in the light. This is not meant to sound like a sermon, It is simply a testimony of someone who has walked both paths. I bow my head and give thanks every day for my life and all that surrounds me. I hope to be a light house for anyone is searching for the rock upon which to lean.
Cherie that poem is very inspirational and thought provoking, Thanks for sharing.

Bless YOU for sharing that with us Cherie!
I always try to count my blessings. Life is a precious gift and far too short to spend whining it away!
Peace and Love!

Well,..blame it on me just being myself again, but by any chance did the original email end with a link to Christian Childrens Fund, or some other charity nudging readers into feel guilty for their prosperity & lifestyle which others lack?
The sentiment in this thread sounds sincere, no offense was meant, but with the recent virus/spam flooding over recent emails, I wouldn't trust something like that!
(Hehee, I may be an ordained minister, but that doesn't make me a God-aholic, which that original message sounded rather heavy upon.)
